The Repeated Read Alouds TeachAlong™ is a self-paced, self-guided online course for French primary teachers. While I used to run my TeachAlongs™ live, now I offer them from my TeachAlong™ Library, giving teachers like you the chance to purchase my courses at any time and work through them on your own schedule. So, keep in mind that there will be no live Q&A sessions, weekly email check-ins, or giveaways to guide you through after purchase.

Many teachers have told me that they struggle with finding quality read-alouds that their students understand and enjoy in their second language...but that also aren't too simple (and boring!).

 

This used to be a big problem for me, too. All my favourite read-alouds in English went WAY over my students' heads in French. We would spend so much time just figuring out the surface-level stuff that I struggled to guide them to also understanding the deeper subtleties and complexities within the text.

 

But, I found a solution to that problem—one that allows me to choose almost any read-aloud book—Repeated Read Alouds! And now, I'm sharing exactly how I use this concept to take my students from confused to comprehending.

Each Repeated Read Aloud pack contains FIVE complete lessons for you to complete with your students (approx. 30-45 minutes). Most packs also include a bonus, optional activity you can use to close out the week. You'll choose one of the two options released each week to teach the following week.

Absolutely loved the La rentrée course. The content was super organized with an optional printable or digital workbook. The videos were informative, and the resources were superb and well worth beyond the cost of the course. I absolutely loved this course! I have been teaching for over 20 years, and [I] was desperate to inject a new approach to my program delivery without sacrificing my own philosophy for teaching. The ABC Bootcamp has been a gift, and I am astounded by my kinder students’ enthusiasm for the new letter each day. Not only are they enthusiastic, but their recognition of letter sounds has increased significantly, and I am so excited to start up a group of readers when we are through. In the past, I have done Jolly Phonics with one letter a week, and [I found] it to be too slow—it [was] March before we [could] really get moving.
