The doors to Comment céer des écrivains will only be open to the public once a year, in order to be sure that we grow and learn together and so that I can best support you during your start with Writer's Workshop. That time is between now and 11:59 PM on November 7th, so make sure you join us ASAP, before they close until next time!

By the end of this module, you’ll have a solid understanding of Writer's Workshop to build on as you start implementing it!

MODULE 2

November 15-December 12

In Module 2, "Putting It Into Action," I’ll give you all my best tips for putting Writer's Workshop into action in your maternelle or première année classroom. We will start working through the lessons together with our students, so you can have real-time support as you go!

MODULE 3

December 13-18

In Module 3, "Next Steps," I’ll explain exactly how you can set yourself up for success with continuing Writer's Workshop long-term. This includes diving into writing conferences, writing evaluations, and more - including a couple of fun bonuses to try after Christmas!

As a first-time, first grade FI teacher, this course was indispensable. When I accepted the job, I didn't know how to begin teaching the kids literacy, especially after missing so much time due to COVID. With this course, I knew WHAT to do and HOW to do it. Absolutely loved the La rentrée course. The content was super organized with an optional printable or digital workbook. The videos were informative, and the resources were superb and well worth beyond the cost of the course. Mme Andrea was quick to respond to questions and offered plenty of live sessions to answer questions about the course. I absolutely loved this course! I have been teaching for over 20 years, and [I] was desperate to inject a new approach to my program delivery without sacrificing my own philosophy for teaching. The ABC Bootcamp has been a gift, and I am astounded by my kinder students’ enthusiasm for the new letter each day. Not only are they enthusiastic, but their recognition of letter sounds has increased significantly, and I am so excited to start up a group of readers when we are through. In the past, I have done Jolly Phonics with one letter a week, and [I found] it to be too slow -- it [was] March before we [could] really get moving. I teach a group of junior and senior kinders, and the ideas and activities provided allow for a great deal of differentiation. I enjoyed the sessions/videos with Andrea, and [I] also liked the guest speakers -- [I] also purchased a number of their resources as a result. I love the extension activities and the oral communication reinforcement. [I] liked the timing of the course, and [I] found it easy to follow along before school started, but [I] must admit that once my own students returned...I found it more difficult to keep up.
